Thank you to Jilly and Jan for visiting this afternoon. They were quietly sitting chatting to Dave when we arrived but all that changed when we had a go at playing Jilly's CDs. Dave put the earphones on so that the rest of the ward wouldn't hear the music and proceeded to shout out comments at the top of his voice - Jan had to put her hand over his mouth! Great fun - he was in good spirits. We had taken a profiterole in from our lunch at Roger and Margaret's and he gobbled that down as if there was no tomorrow. He has plenty of goodies provided by his friends, thank you.
After Jilly and Jan left he was demonstrating the exercises he does with the physio and when I asked him if there was anything he wanted his reply was 'a one way ticket to West Coker'. Can't help him with that at the moment however.

Morning Dave!
It was great to see you in such good spirits yesterday and looking so well too, laughing, joking and remembering old times. As Valerie said it was absolutely hilarious when you shouted and laughed at the top of your voice in joy. Of course you didn't realise as you had earphones on loudly playing Jenna Witt and Seth Lakeman music!! As for that profiterole, well you most certainly made very short work of that. Jan says she'll bring some of her very special carrot cake next time. We'll fatten you up yet!

I'll scan my photo of "Blue Nose II" which you liked and have it printed. Also the fascinating picture of the Deadeye you liked, part of the rigging of the "Theresa E Connor" we saw at the Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg. I've revamped the Happy Memories movie CD where we had a bit of a blip with the technology! I've worked out what went wrong, so please tell Valerie a new one will be in the post shortly.
