As you will have heard now I am whole and back to "normal". The op. and aftercare went really quickly. I look forward to being able to return to my old life and meet many of you cycling friends and others who have given me such strong support through my problems, Thanks to you all. The only problem is that some of my hair was removed, I swear the surgeon must have been trained by Big Chief Sitting Bull! Be Seeing you soon. Dave!

Whole again!!
Luckily all the kings horses and all the kings men were unavailable today at Frenchay, which mean`t the surgeons were able to successfully replace Daves original piece of bone back into the hole in his head.Val has seen him this evening and he was smiling and pleased that this bit has been done,so far so good.Other good news is that he has already eaten! He has a drain in at the moment as a matter of course,so we wait and see what the next couple of days bring.

Next Stage
Welcome back everyone, here we go on the next step, as Dave said.
Margaret and I have just returned from Frenchay where would you believe it we had a picnic! The only difference being we fed Dave as well this time.
The plan is hopefully, that his op, the one to mend the hole in his head, will take place tomorrow(Monday)and if all goes well he shouldn`t be in for too long.Dave scored 15 out of 10 for a range of questions like no smoking, no alchohol, no tablets etc as you would expect!!
He has made excellent progress, thanks to all of you out there for keeping in touch with him while he has been recovering.Of course we are all looking forward to getting over this hurdle. We will blog over the next few days to keep you all informed.
